Information for Artist Vendors

Hey, welcome! Our mission for the festival is to support our local artisan community, and to give you a chance to showcase your work. We are looking for a wide variety of artists- ceramics, fiber, jewelry, wearable art, pottery, glass, painting, photography, sculptors, paper, mixed media, and more.

You must have enough stock to keep your booth stocked. You may not share a booth with another artist, except with the permission of the festival or if it is a collaborative art partnership or business. The festival is only open to original artists- everything must be hand made.

Do I have to live in Lunenburg to participate?
Nope, you do not need to be a Lunenburg resident to apply- we know there are many talented artisans living around the area, and we’d love to have you apply. Preference in jurying will be weighted towards Lunenburg residents, then local artists from surrounding towns, and then a wider net.

What does the application fee money go towards?
We’re going to use it on festival operations- supplies, marketing materials, advertising, and so forth. The application jurying fee goes right into the festival.

What if it rains?
Our rain date is Sunday, June 9, in the case of extreme inclement weather. We will make that determination by noon on June 7 and get the word out via email, social media, and this website. But we’re hoping for clear blue skies.

When do I find out my booth assignment?
When you check in on Saturday morning, there will be volunteers to help you find your booth location.

Can I request a specific booth location?
You can request a special location, or request to be near a specific artist. We make no promises but we will do our best to make you happy.

Is there electricity available?
No, there is no electricity available.

Can I rent a tent and table and chairs from you?
Sorry, we don’t have that option available. You gotta provide your own.

When can I come set up my stuff?
Saturday morning at 7:00am. Cars will have to move off of Memorial Drive by 9:30am. We will have volunteers helping you to find your booth area and to coordinate loading and unloading and the movement of cars. You must be entirely set up by the time the festival opens at 10:00am.

Can I decorate my booth?
Absolutely. It’s an arts festival! Just make sure your signs or flags or displays don’t block your neighbors or encroach out of your assigned space. Be a good neighbor!

Do I have to stay in my booth for the entire festival?
You personally do not, but someone needs to be there manning the booth for the entire festival. The artist should plan to be at their booth for the majority of the time ,unless you have permission from Festival Organizers. The festival does not have booth sitters available. We strongly encourage you to bring a friend or partner in case you need to leave your booth.

How many people are you expecting at the festival?
We had about 700 people at last year’s inaugural festival. We’re hoping to grow it a little every year. Lunenburg really supports its artist community and we LOVE our town festivals, so it’s going to be a good turn out full of enthusiastic art supporters.
